What is a Comet? Explain its various parts with a diagram.

=> A comet is a celestial body with a long, glowing tail that orbits the Sun. It is made up of ice, dust particles, rocky fragments, and gases. When a comet approaches the Sun, it becomes bright, and as it moves away, its tail gradually disappears.
Parts of a Comet:
  1. Nucleus: The central part of a comet, consisting of frozen solid materials such as ice and dust.
  2. ComaWhen the comet gets closer to the Sun, the Sun's heat causes the frozen material around the nucleus to vaporize, forming a cloud-like structure of gas and vapor. This is called the coma.
  3. Dust TailA white tail formed by dust particles released from the comet. This tail appears thick and reflects sunlight.
  4. Ion TailA fine, glowing blue tail made of ionized gases. It points directly away from the Sun due to the influence of the solar wind.
